Orange flour

Chocolate, Cranberry and Raisin Flapjacks

Sticky, chewy, creamy, fruity. Mmmmmmmmmmm – enough said.

2oz soft brown sugar
3oz butter
2 heaped tablespoons golden syrup
6oz rough cut/porridge oats
handful dried cranberries
handful raisins

200g milk chocolate

to decorate:
white chocolate
desiccated coconut

(preheat oven to 180*c and line a 12″ square baking tray with greaseproof paper)
– in a large pan, melt together the butter, sugar and syrup – don’t be stingy on the syrup, whack it in there!
– remove from the heat and stir in the oats and fruit
– press the mixture firmly into the baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden
– leave to cool in the tray
– melt the milk chocolate in a bain marie
– spread evenly over the flapjacks and sprinkle with desiccated coconut
– leave to set in a cool place
– melt the white chocolate in a bain marie and using a spoon, drizzle over the milk chocolate
– leave to set
– when the chocolate has set completely, cut the flapjacks into squares
makes 9 flapjacks
